Language in a Room – Photograms & Braille Works
Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, Sweet Briar, VA
Medium: Expired photographic paper, Braille, photograms
Concept:
This series explored the interplay between space, language, and perception.
Using partially exposed photographic paper and Braille as both mark and material, I translated tactile perception into visual form, mapping presence and movement while transforming studio space into an experimental, sensory environment.
Concept:
Language in a Room investigates space, perception, and tactile language. Braille and partially exposed photographic paper translate gesture and touch into visual form, mapping movement and presence. The work transforms the studio into a sensory environment, emphasizing process, observation, and the layered experience of perception.
